6 Easy House Cleaning Tips from Local Cleaning Services

House cleaning doesn’t have to be difficult. Basic methods can help save you time and keep your home sparkling. Use these tips from local house cleaning services in Colorado Springs to save yourself time the next time you tackle these regular cleaning tasks.

Cleaning the Fridge

Due to its large size, the fridge is an appliance many avoid cleaning until it’s absolutely necessary. When it’s done right, this task doesn’t need to take all day.

Begin by going through the food and condiments in your fridge and tossing old or expired items. Wipe down the top shelves first and work your way to the bottom. For a natural clean, use baking soda and water to avoid harsh chemicals coming in contact with your food. Wash the produce drawers and line them with paper towels for a quick, easy clean next time.

Scrubbing the Oven

Do you use your oven every day? When there’s a day you’re not using your oven, take the opportunity to spray oven cleaner inside and let is sit until the next day. Before you use your oven, give it a quick wipe down. You’ll notice baked on grime washes off much easier after letting the over cleaner sit overnight.

Keeping Your Microwave Clean

Cleaning your microwave doesn’t have to be difficult or time consuming. First, fill a cup of water and place it in your microwave on high for a few minutes. The steam from the water will soften stubborn food splatters so they wipe away clean and easy.

Rinse Your Dishes

No one likes waking up to a pile of dirty dishes covered in dried food. If you can’t get to the dishes right away, give them a good rinse before putting them in the sink. Encourage family members to get into a habit of rinsing their dishes to avoid stuck-on food. This makes doing the dishes faster and easier.

Sanitize Your Toilet in a Jiffy

Your toilet can be sanitized within minutes. First, pour toilet cleaner in the bowl and let it soak. Wipe down the outside of the bowl and seat with antibacterial wipes or a spray cleaner. After you finish, use a toilet brush to give the bowl a quick scrub. Wipe everything down with a dry cloth for the perfect shine.

Shine Your Mirrors

Grab a couple paper towels or a soft cloth and tackle the mirrors in your home all at once. Use Windex or natural cleaners and give each mirror in your home a nice shine.

  1. I agree that you should make sure to scrub the oven. I think most people forget about doing so because it’s a less visible part of the kitchen. I think, though, that when ovens have food crusted to the sides, they tend to let off more smoke when cooking.

  2. I hadn’t ever thought of leaving oven cleaner overnight! I always spend so much work trying to clean out the oven, since I only spray it down a few minutes before I get to scrubbing. I’ll take your advice and let the cleaner soak in overnight and let it loosen stuff up. Thanks!

  3. Hi Buddy,

I really appreciate your post. I am currently working as a senior member in environmental consultancy and I know that it’s necessary to clean the home on daily basis.

To clean your bathroom you can also use bleaching agent and cleaning oils. I have tried bleaching agent and it works for me. My wife was happy when I told her about this method. One thing I would like to suggest you is use images in your post as it looks attractive.

    Thanx.

I have found the mircofiber cloths to work great on mirrors and it cuts down on paper towel usage. They do a wonderful job of leaving a streak free shine and can be used over and over again.

Thank you again for these great tips!

  16. I totally agree that using baking soda and water as cleaning materials is a better alternative than harsh chemicals. However, it might not be enough for a crime scene clean-up that took place in another house situated a few blocks from our home. After the investigation, I think it would be better for the family to hire professional cleaning services.

  17. Due to the busy schedule of the day, people are hardly able to spend time and focus on other important questions, such as washing food, washing clothes, and so on, and thus use people to help them raise their daily work, particularly during dry cleaning service Singapore because it is too difficult to wake up to the laundry room.

  18. Indeed! We shouldn’t take house cleaning too seriously, it doesn’t have to be difficult. We just need good and easy methods to clean.
